22. FORMULATION

Working mode< Formulation> enables preparing mixtures out of several

ingredients. The process is conducted automatically.

Balance user, while preparing mixtures, can:

 use database of formulas, where formula records are stored. In such

case, balance’s software assists in weighing ingredients of a mixture by

displaying corresponding commands or information in the grey coloured

workspace;

 prepare a mixture without using database of formulas. Then, a user

controls weighing of an ingredient, weighing sequence and quantity.

Should database of formulas be used, first a formulation has to be created in the

database, and then it is recalled (activated) for use. Creating a formulation is

carried out only from the level of Database of Formulas, and it is described later

in this section.

Working mode activating procedure

• while in the main window, press soft key located in the upper bar of the

display, which opens a submenu <Working modes> with selection of

available working modes,

• select < Formulation> mode, the software automatically returns to the

main window and displays pictogram in the upper bar.

The grey coloured workspace contains the following data:

o Formulation

o Ingredient

o Ingredient no.

o Ingredient mass

o Target value (mass)

o Sum

Caution:

In the grey coloured workspace a bargraph can be enabled (displayed). It is a graphic

interpretation of correctly weighed ingredient’s mass with +/- tolerance, according to set

tolerance thresholds.
